Grandma Chic Anything But Invisible!

I was delighted to come across the pocket size blogger the other day whilst on my bloggi travels, that is Tavi (from Style Rookie.com)  just 13, she is currently being courted by all the big fashion houses out there such as Chanel. I love the fact her latest style, grandmother chic, complete with grey hair! Pokes an eye in the face of what is deemed beautiful today by society, challenging typical steroetypes of woman which proclaim only young or youthful woman are attractive! Her quirky style is such fun and more over, that shade of grey she is currently sporting,  is sooo flattering to English Rose complexions and work perfectly with all the newest pastel shades coming through this spring! Thanks Tavi, divine inspiration for women of all ages!

Vanessa Redgrave, embraces her true colours

I am lusting after this grey and peach chevron bracelet

Keep your pastel confectionary from looking sickly sweet with, utility colours such as greys and a smattering of black.Burberry work this springs trend for pastels perfectly!

Wear It Well! Wear It Now! x

If  like me the latest trend for wearing your inner wear out i.e wearing your pajamas and underwear as part of your staple wardrobe look, for this spring/summer 2010, has taken you utterly by surprise or for that matter has not yet not caught up with you!!  Fear not, as today I am going to provide you with some great inspiration  and hot style tips for how to wear this very comfy trend well! Hoorah for elastic waist bands!

Ok firstly, if your wearing this look in the evening avoid the above set like the plague! Even real silk or satin pjs in a bright garish colour run the risk of looking like cheap, polyester and tapered legs are a no! If you want to wear silk or satin for the evening go for wrap styles, buy the best you can afford, or vintage.Opt for luxe colours like maroon, chocolates and black and wear with pumps to keep the look really elegant, team with chunky acrylic bangles,( for a quirkey twist) a long stand of small pearls and a razor sharp bob.

For evening look out for shoes like these sling backs by (truffle), classic styling, mid heel and ruching all compliment this luxe look.Accessorise with a little black clutch, simple detailing, textured fabric, rather than a leather finish, keep the look clean but elegant.
Want to go pretty for evening? Take inspiration from soft grey, jelly pumps in subtle hues and kimono style cardigans, worn open.

Feeling confident and free, opt for this very stylish androgenous look, charcoal, striped, straight leg pjs  teamed with a stack of black, ivory acrylic or red bangles and a funky pair of vans!

Remember with this look fabric is everything! Want a really chic day look?Opt for a natural palette in good quality linen.Top tip- can't find pj styles that don't taper to flatter your figure? Cheat! Buy wide leg linen trousers and team with a linen nero collar shirt, in the same colourway and roll up the sleeves a little. Avoid high heels, pointy toes, shiney shoes and earrings! Bobbed hair or a clean pony look best.

For a luxe evening look, try wearing a vintage mans belted dessing gown, worn with matching full length slip to protect your modesty as a dress with bare legs and gold pumps, add a bit of leopard and your good to go!
Stripes beware! Top tip! If you like the set of mans pj above with BOLD charcoal stripes, either opt for wearing open, with a linen waistcoat in cream underneath! Or just do a striped pant with a plain shirt or pj top in a shade of grey.Otherwise however elongating, the stripes will be wearing you! Hope you enjoyed joining me for todays masterclass, on how to translate this very comfy trend into a wearable look for your wardrobe. S xx

Join Me For A Mystical Encounter Of The Best Kind!

Hi everyone, sometimes I think perhaps I am a bit of a Style Aura, commonly known as Trend spotter. I thought I might have a bit of fun sharing some trends with you that I was rocking, and even designing three years ago, that are now here on the highstreet! At number one, see this gorgeous leather dress, we all have diffent names for the colour, some of us call it toffee, some pumpkin and some including me, call it rust, a huge colour this fall. I was sniggered at by friends, for taking a shine to this colour two seasons ago. I fell in love with how classy it looks with ivory, black and slate blue, it also looks fab with yellow!! At number two, my second Style/Eco prediction, which I began designing and trying to secure a patent for (I kid you not!!!) was a fashionable shopping basket on roller blade wheels. Made out of waterproof fabric and printed in limited edition prints and bright colours. My mission to create a shopping bag on wheels, every woman of every age would be proud to sport around town, saving the planet and keeping them fit at the same time! Now M&S are producing them and other high street names. At number three, wearing a necklace over your winter coat, a really unique trend with regal tendencies, set to be big this A/W. I decided to play around with wearing necklaces outside my coat, last A/ W and eased my way in,  by wearing a large black pompom necklace that I created, over a colbalt blue coat, modeled here by Burberry for this A/W and looking very chic. Finally, at number four, I very nearly entered a competition to design an item of denium for a huge jean company some three years ago, unfortunately I ran out of time and had to abandon my entry! My design was a two piece denim suit that looked like a one piece denium jump suit, practical and chic. Detailing included, puff sleeves and collar, cut to represent broaderie anglaise fabric, underlaid with lemon fabric, so you got a feminine denim and yellow lace effect. A broad sash with rivet detailing all over it, that tied in a huge bow at the back of the suit, to make it a little sassy! A fitted bodice with side zipper a full trouser, tapering at the ankle, suggested acessories, baseball boots or fifties style pumps.I could kick myself that I didn't manage to get my entry in, given how huge the jumpsuit is at present!!! If you have had any style predictions that have become hot trends this year, I would love to hear about them. Mouth watering colour explosions and Wonderland designs inhabited the spring/summer catwalks, playfulness & frivolity were the order of the day!

In desperate need of your couture fashion fix ? Then feast your eyes on these surreal pieces. Botton middle, Tribal inspired Lego beading, Lego hard hat and sky blue tunic with clouds. We need fun right now and the fashion houses are responding with great big luscious dollops of the stuff. Stinting on fun and exuberance they are not!

Continuing on the theme of fun fashion, I selected this beautiful fashion Image to share, (centre) with those of you who are keen to keep an eye on the latest fashion press.Clashing colour blocking a strong look for summer, combines a candy coloured pink sleeveless blouse and a simple lime green A-line skirt, topped of with your favourite gift perhaps?
