Vintage Vineyard, Take Your Pick!

Hi Gals, went to a Vintage fair this weekend in my neighbouring Lancashire, city Preston, thought I would share a few of my photos with you, from my visit, I picked up two sweet pins, a flag in tangerine and turquoise crystals for me to put on my wool navy beret and a gold pin with blue crystals, designed to look like musical notes for my friend and beauty blogger Lauren as a thank-you for all her hard work on our recent Dear Diary event. I also found a store which sold bespoke retro style pieces and was delighted to find this retro pop, juicy red perspex key pendant, embelished with diamante,as you can see gals I have magpie like tendencies!!!

Look at this decadent lemon curd lamp that I was drooling over, drat it was taken! The citrus yellow one nearby with the nipped in waist was very sweet, but just a little out of my price range!Look at all these glam gems where is a girl to start first? A frothy parasol, not quite the weather for it at the moment, or perhaps a golden draw string purse?I adored the cream shell bag with the gold letter V on it and the lepard purse, which is your favourite?

Look at these chic earrings and pins enough to make any girls heart skip a beat.

Just had to end, with this sweet vintage gal, dressed in one of this season hottest colours, pumpkin! What a doll! Sx

Welsh Style File - Lots of Welsh Rare-bits!

Hi great to be back! Thank-you for all the lovely comments you left me, it was a great welcome!I thought you might appreciate my pick up of all things Welsh and Stylish, which includes a picture of the area I stayed in, in Abersoch, as well as my favourite really Stylish and inspirational actors and singers, including some men for a change! Some of you wont be surprised I picked the gorgeous Anthony Hopkins, I love his confidence in wearing simple clothing well. His charisma is electric! Rhys Ifans, may seem a unlikely Style Icon, his style when he is not acting alternates between scruffy chic, to country gentleman, but I love his care free attitude and how he seems so at home in his own skin. This shot of him from the film, The Boat That Rocked, is awesome! I totally heart his Style, bang on trend this winter season by the way.Which just goes to show that true Style, needs a sprinkle of attitude and confidence along with a well cut Wardrobe! Those of you who adored Rhys Ifans clad in his underpants in the film Notting Hill will know exactly what I mean when I say its his imperfections that make him sooo perfect! Duffy had to be in with my pick of Wesh Style Icons, being as I love the substance that vintage can lend to a gals wardrobe, usually because clothes were generally much better tailored in bygone years. She embodies a simpler time and is truly inspirational! My Welsh Style file would not be complete without Welsh designer Julienne McDonald, his Autumn/Winter collection is so creative, he understands how to dress women. I thought you might appreciate this stunning piece from Julienne McDonald's Autumn/Winter collection, it really speaks of his Style elegant, flamboyant and just a little sexy! I couldn't resist throwing in some gorgeous handmade Welsh shoes for good measure, brogues are huge for women this Autumn/Winter, for women wanting to Chanel the androgynous trend and it doesn't get much better than these vintage inspired handmade Mary Jane shoes. The creative design/detailing (note the scalloped edges) is breath taking. Oh and I had to bring back this chic woven tweed clutch, with sky blue, silk lining. Tweed is big news this season, but Welsh tweed in particular is pretty special!

My top womens wear pieces to take on holiday this summer

As you can probably tell I have been bitten by the holiday bug, I'm due to go to Devon see top picture next Monday in my little caravan for a week, yay! I had to include a knitted ice cream sundae being a Stylist, just in case you were wondering . To celebrate I decided to round up some of my favourite holiday finds, the criteria was great value for money, quality and style, clothes and accessories that pack easily and help you feel a little Marilyn! For shoes you must check out M&S, the value is incredible, with lots of really chic styles in the limited range at just £15.00 such as the black patent slides featured here. I also loved their nautical inspired swimsuit really flattering for pear shapes, their stunning Zandra Rhodes for M&S swimsuit in fusion colours and their diamond tribal halter neck beach cover up. Bodens stripey slip on pumps in sunshine yellow and denim blue are over £40.00 but superb quality and you will wear them to death, see also their red shirt dress, wear over wide leg trousers till your tan emerges. See also Bodens cute floral shorts, gorgeous pink stripey toweling dress, reversible floppy floral hat at just £15.00 and floral shopper, I love their prints. I couldn't leave you hippy chics out, so my next stop had to be rokit, their acidic vintage floral dress is great for olive beauties and their pastel floaty floral dress would suit paler creamy complexions, with the added bonus that if you snap it up quickly, nobody else will be wearing your dress. They could both easily transition from day to evening wear, giving great value for money and flexibility! I had to include two of my favourite straw bags from the rokit collection, the pastel flowers white straw shopper is so meltingly sweet and would work really well with the pastel dress featured. The tribal graphic straw would look stunning with the red shirt dress featured and black slides or denim pumps. The texture of the tribal straw is very forgiving and will allow you to wear with practically any bright, deep or neutral shades as long as you stick to clean lines. My two favourite nautically inspired pieces are this lovely fresh cotton rucksack which will never date and this silk ruffle off the shoulder top from Principles also in the sale.
