Join Me For A Masterclass In Shoe Shopping! x

Hi there Gals, at a time when women everywhere usually pound the pavements in search of that perfect pick me up, to help them endure the long winter, myself included!I find myself drawn to a more unusual ways of getting my shopping fix.If I were to tell you that there is a way that you can extend the 10 minuite buzz you get from buying those new sale shoes, that end up languishing in the back of your wardrobe in between being worn up to 1000 times or more, save yourself money, sore feet and the odd twisted ankle.  Would you perhaps let your piggy bank gain a few of those extra pounds that it lost durring the sales and breath a huge sigh of relief and open your arms wide to the latest in the more does equal more philosphy when shopping if approached in the right way.

No gals this is not a Style Statement, but a piggy who dearly needs to gain a few extra pounds, take pity and instead of a shoe fund, save for an experience to get dressed up for, to share with your favourite friends.

Help that compulsive Shoe diva take control, by chaneling your energy in a slightly different direction, instead of seeing that favourite pair of designer shoes as a one season wear. Choose them as you would a painting or sculpture in other words for the sheer beauty! Gals, you  know how frustating it is when your out sale shopping for shoes and the wrong sizes are always the bargins! This simply does not apply here, big or small, designer or non designer shoe candy are all created equal!!! Don't worry if you won't be able to walk in them without falling flat on your face!Because the beauty HERE IS is you don't need to walk in them!! Instead invest in a gorgeous plinth, pedestal or box frame and treat yourself to your own purpose built shoe art installation, that you can enjoy for years to come!Giving you a lift, not bunions every time you walk past it! Sharon xx p.s if any of  you do put any of this week Style advice into action, PLEASE email me a picture @ sharonstyle@fsmail.net, I would love to see your handy work/ share hereHope you enjoy my round up of shoe art to help inspire you!

Sweet Rose - By Sharon - A New Years Day Poem x

What I love about blogging is it allows you the freedom to rip up the rule book every now and then, so today my post is a poem that I wrote about a subject, that should be strictly reserved for spring, but I thought it was appropriate to share with you today as it's New Years day! It reflects how fragile and strong we can sometimes be as women.

Sweet Rose - By Sharon Gibson

Oh to be a rose,
Silent and sweet
To keen in hunger, resonant thunder
Be wept upon but not weep
I'm dried by the sun, warmed by it's constant hum and throb
My essence strains, rising up and out of me
Releasing a sound, small labours pain, a scent, a crisp voice on a chill day,  that which you call air.

Knees bare beneath grassy foam, rocks interwoven with bent and bruised legs that they have claimed as their own.

Top soil, I'm free!
Free as the bare shouldered moon and her beautiful garden of molton stars
I dance with the wind if he is gentle
But if he is cruel, I laugh like a sunlite shard, it pierces his heavy cloak
releasing him to higher ground.

Some light relief from the chill of winter and to celebrate this special day!

So delicate and flattering on even the palest skin tone

Adore the the effect on this silk skirt which looks like it has been dipped in white and pink icing! Then dripped dried. That's one sweet skirt!A transitional piece perhaps? Worn with silver tux jacket for evening or navy leather durring the day.

Accessorise with these delicate shoes, painted by zoe, what a talented lady!

velvet and silk roses to keep you sweet

Fight those showers with flower power

Join me for tea and letting me wish you a Happy New Year! Sxx

Your Fairy Tale Moment Is Nearly Here, Sieze It Firmly With Both Hand's & Do A Twirl,Go On!

You might wonder why You see before you an image of fairytale castle? Well I reckon that if anytime of the year is one where we should feel able to loose ourselves in a fairytale moment allowing ourselves to revel in our feminity and feeling beautiful it's the Christmas party season! So as a special treat I thought I would inspire you with a little Barbie couture. Ok we are not all barbie thin or wish to be for that matter, but why not take a little inspiration from one of the most Stylish dolls on the block!
Rose pink fishtail dress, pure romance for that Christmas ball

Or perhaps this encrusted gold fishtale would be more to madams liking?

This black dress is achingly chic, modelled by our girl Barbie, but check out this original breathtaking Audrey Hepburn little black dress, below.

How about this collection of beauties? Vintage cuts in this seasons hottest colours.x

I Adore this oriental inspired gold number, warming to cool skin tones and soo flattering against olive skin tones. The feathery, hairstyle, evocative of a plume on a helmet, brings this classic style bang up to date.

Bare legs are big news this winter brrr!

So on trend, faux fur shawl collar and tweed weave, pretty pink looks opulent on red heads and makes an elegant cover up over your evening dress.

Shimmer, sparkle and splash, all you would be mermaids out there!

Vintage anyone? Flapper dresses are great for boyish female shapes and create the much desired movement and swing, they were intended for originally!

Breath taking gold column dress, simply could not resist the fish scale fringing so pretty and echoing the 20s flapper look.

Lets take Another sneaky peak into Audrey Hepburns auctioned vintage wardrobe, shall we? How many woman, could resist the elegant, feminine charms of this ivory dress of Audrey Hepburns? Great winter white dressing with a faux fur cape and lace up gold or teal boots, skater style!

Audrey had an eye for detail, layering, double bows and lace all wrapped up in a muted green that is soo flattering to peaches and cream complexions.

To finish, there is lace and then there is frothy, floaty lace!Simply stunning.  Sx
