Geek Chic Part 1- Roxanne....

Hi Gals todays post as you can see is dedicated to Geek Chic. I firmly believe that perfect beauty alone can be boring and there for geeky. It is our distinct feature's that help create our unique signature style and often people with distinct features that know how to work them, whose style we remember most. When I was young I wished I had a more prominent nose like my mother or a fuller cleft chin like my father, I think women with cleft chins look great! One of the great advantages of strong facial feature's is that you can play with wearing bold sculptural jewellery, hood's and hat's all of which I crave, but honestly, bold statement piece's look silly on my neckline, as they tend to over shadow my small face and feature's. My advice take a fresh look at what you consider to be your worst facial feature and play it up, you will probably be surprised at how it opens up a whole new world of makeup and accessory options!

Sigh, I guess a statement cuff or bangle will have to do!

C Is For Capable!

Hi Gals, sorry my post's have been a little less frequent, sometimes life is a bit of a whirlwind, I have been working with the web developers to get my new website of the ground, finger's and toes's crossed we are nearly ready to launch it!

I have missed our get togethers and chat's about style and am in need of a bit of mystery and versatility from my autumn coat this season. I have decided it has to be a coat that works well with A-line shift dresses, the pencil skirt and the 70s flare wide leg trouser and floppy hat, all key trends for this A/W 2010. The pictures below may give you a clue, yep it has to be a cape. I have decided to create my own version oozing mystery and sophistication , look out for my DIY cape post up next and you too can join the ranks of chic caped women this autumn! Have you tried this trend yet?! Finish with a vintage pin on the collar and a hat set a jaunty angle and plenty of scarlet lippy!

Every Devon Cloud Has A Silver Lining! x

 I'm back fom my hols in Devon! You maybe wondering why my red spotty hat is featured here again, well I felt a little sorry for it as it never got out the front door of our cottage. Instead due to a unexpectedly wet and windy week, I was left to dream up curled in front of a log fire, what fabulous wet weather attire I could have brought along for my holiday, had I not been so optimistic about the possibilty of sunshine! Holiday photo's to follow soon of the 300 year old property we stayed in and the beautiful countryside. Hi gal's, off on  holiday tomorow to Devon at 5am , but to help motivate me to do the dreaded family packing,( yep even us stylist get mental blocks around ironing piles!)
