Venices Sister?

Hi there, I'm back from my adventures in Portugal and itching to share my holiday snaps with you all! A subtle shade of nutmeg and about half a stone heavier give or take a churro or two! (Portugese for stuffed doughnut!) It was lovely celebrating Aarons 15th birthday and Easter in beautiful sunny Portugal.I was in a constant state of surprise and delight, dizzy with all the gem's to be found in this gentle place.I never thought I would find anywhere that would equal the architecture, elegance and mystery of Venice, but Portugal should be named Venices sister!
My favourite's thing's? In no particular order, I stumbled across the sweetest, vintage fairground ride, more pictures to follow for vintage fans!Churro's, Portugese doughnut's taste so much better than UK ones, much bigger, fluffier and alot more spices, yum!!! Stork's are protected here and can nest on anything they want! It was such fun seeing these fairy tale creatures, perched on, or next to their huge nests where ever they chose to make them, in the town's we visited. The architecture is a dazzling mix of Moorish, Rococco and Eastern European influences. The Portugese are all about cherishing details. In the larger town's there is a ecclectic mix of contempory design and old. As you can see, I had great fun using my new camera a birthday gift from husband!
I hope you enjoy the photos! In case you are wondering why Sher is in one of my holiday montages, it is because I felt her latest stylish, outfit posts, fit so well with my nautical holiday! I selected her to feature as my latest blog crush on My Passport to Style! See my sidebar! For those that have not already entered don't forget about my sweet bicycle pendant giveaway details top right of my sidebar! Good luck sweet things!

Thanks for visiting my blog Sharon. Blogging is new to me and I am off to a bit of a slow start...still learning. Painting is easy by comparison! I am enjoying your blog. I used to design clothing in Canada so I still have the fashion bug.
