I love wooden heels and bought my first pair of Lancashire clogs fifteen years ago and wore them with evening wear not as a casual look believe it or not! Im so excited by the way that the clog has morphed from its humble beginings (traditionaly worn by cotton mill workers in Lancashire) into a much more glamorous take on clog wear, as this collection from over at Savvy Girl illustrates so beautifully!
Snow queen magic, crackling log fires, soft shawls, pine trees and christmas clogs stuffed with presents.

I love clogs! I LOVE the clog boots in the first pic! xoxo ava
Just ran across you by accident. I grew up in England and every time we took a trip to the Netherlands, my mother would drag us through souvenir shops looking for that ONE pair of ornamental wooden clogs she hadn't found yet. Today, I only have a couple of pairs of clogs, but I blame her for my ridiculous obsession with shoes in general!!
Great blog!
your blog is beautiful! glad i found you <3

Thank you very much for your comment and visit. I'm a Canadian blogger, so while not a UK gal, we're both in the Common Wealth at least :D
Hope you have a beautiful evening,

Oooh love love love this post and am currently doing a clog dance around my bedroom :-) I posted about some Penelope Chilvers clog boots a month or two ago and in a moment of weakness bought a pair from mywardrobe.com. Maybe it was my Wigan roots kicking in lol! xxx
OOh I love the look of clogs! Great post! I have a green suede pair from Cole Hann. I invested in them about 3 years ago. I love them! Not exactly comfortable to wear for long periods of time though!
Love the boots in the first photo. And I love all the other photos you have posted as well, especially all the snowy ones. Thanks so much for your sweet comment! xo

There are some cool looking shoes there.

all these shoes are so wonderful. they remind me of a pair of wooden platforms i thrifted (and sold) a while back. the brand was called Frye and after a little research i discovered it was the oldest running shoe company in the united states. frye boots were even worn by the union and confederate soldiers during the civil war. just talking about those shoes makes me regret ever selling them!
That's so funny because yesterday I happened to wear shoes with a wooden sole and heel and I haven't worn them in ages! Spooky!
Love clogs, I had a pair when I was younger and I used to strut up and down our hallway in them.
No wonder now I can walk in anything!! I have my early clog training to thank.
PS. I've updated my links to include you, sorry it took so long!
