The quickest route to falling out of love with your wardrobe!

Hi there, lovely blogging community, todays Style Advice is simple but critical to your wardrobe well being!
There is no point, spending time and energy shopping for beautiful clothes if you don't A) Try them on while you're doing so or B) Try them on once you get home in front of a full length mirror. Sounds so obvious but I have lost count of the times that my client's will spend money on a nice closet, great shoe boxes, scented draw liners, the clothes themselves and me, yet forget to invest in a good mirror! If you are one of these women who spends your time stood perched precariously on a stool or the bed, trying to get some idea of how your top and bottom half of clothing are working together, only to despair because you feel that you look terrible! Please take a tip from me, a well lit full length mirror is the best investment you will ever make! Half a mirror can, depending on where it's hung, which is usually high up in your room , only reflect half of you! Invaribly it usually ends up being the widest part of your body the tops of your thighs and your stomache! Not the most flattering reflection, hence your friend's being pleasantly surprised at receiving all your newest cast offs!  Sxx

I finally got my full length mirror for Xmas. I went for a full year without one after moving :-(
I'm sure I was a fashion disaster some days!!!

Bonjour Sharon,
You are so right, a full length mirror is a must? It has saved me from becoming a fashion victim more than once - thinking I looked pretty good until I caught a glimpse of myself and nearly fainted!
Have a fabulous week!

How true, Sharon! That is why I'm glad I have a full-length mirror just outside of my room! It works wonders:)

Ooh I am one of the 'bed balancers' I am afraid. I must invest in a full length mirror - loving the ornate white one in your photo. If I pass a store or hotel mirror it comes as a surprise to see my shoes included in an outfit :-)

Sharon darling as always a very informative post, what great advices. I have an ancient three sided mirror which I can't live without.

Darling, are you all rested? Hope you had a marvelous time.

Great advice, indeed! I had made this mistake so many times before.. result: many clothes at the back of the wardrobe complete with tags in their packaging and none of them fit. Have a nice day, Monika
Ps. I collected some of my favorite spring looks on my blog, I think you would love them :-)

Wonderful tip! I am happy to report that I am not one of this ladies and do have not one, but three!!! full length mirrors. You begin appreciate this investment almost immediately, I can not tell you how many times I almost walked out of the door looking great from the front and absolutely terrible from the back. all thanks to my mirrors. :-)
